About

My name is Jennifer Hilton.  I am in my last semester of completing my bachelor’s degree at SUNY Empire State College, and one of my classes is on digital storytelling. I am using this blog and website to explore the techniques learned through my class, as well as create an inspiring conversation around the ideas and ideals of American Made. As this project evolves it is my hope to broaden the conversation of American Made, while drawing attention to solutions that are creating an economy and community full of innovation.

I come to this endeavor after over a decade in the brand licensing industry, over twenty years of community organizing and passion for creating positive change. It is my intention to grow american made magazine into a full-fledged site, online community and publication…Imagine The Possibilities.

Please feel free to contact me at info@americanmademagazine.com and submit comments. We welcome your participation in the growth of this project as an American Made experience. As american made magazine grows, so too will our About page.

  1. Jennifer,
I am a retired engineer from Bell Labs in NJ. With another friend from the Labs, We are starting a company to build a product here in the US and ship it world wide. This looks like a site to use for some of our information that may interest others who might be thinking of doing something similar. Good luck!

    • Ron thank you for your comment. If you would like to submit a guest post on manufacturing in America and distribution I would be very interested in hearing from you. Please feel free to share what you think is appropriate at this time – you can send me a note through the contact page or via email at info@americanmademagazine.com. I am eager to learn what type of product it is and the target audiences, as well as the impact it may have on the home economy.

      Best,
